What's the role?

A strategy is the document that defines the planned approach to cost-effective sourcing of a certain product group. Along the value chain, the definition and development of the strategy lays the foundation for make-or-buy decisions as well as global, regional or local sourcing of products. It strongly influences the individual supplier strategies of the existing and/or future suppliers.
Working in the Indirect Procurement team in Plant Schaan the candidate will have the opportunity to analyze and benchmark our suppliers, and define the internal strategy across the Global Manufacturing organization and in cooperation with other plants and suppliers.
Furthermore, the candidate will get the unique opportunity to dive into operational excellence topics. The candidate will work and get exposure to a multi-cultural and cross-function environment. Additionally, she/he will obtain a great understanding of a multinational company supply chain system.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for at least 6 months.

What does the role involve?

As a master thesis student or intern in our department, you will build on the supplier analysis, benchmark relevant suppliers and derive an adequate strategy for indirect procurement.


Your key responsibilities will be, among other: Understand today’s situation: conduct a supply market analysis, analyse the sourcing supply footprint and supplier base (across the 3 plants) and potential growth scenarios. Research of best-practice setups in similar industries.

What you need is:

  • Enrollment in Bachelor’s or Master’s in related study program (preferably Economics or Engineering)
  • Energy, courage and sharp thinking
  • A strategic approach and good analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent English and German skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • A proactive approach and self-reliant personality
