What's the role?

Responsible to lead market and customer-oriented strategic sustainability initiatives. This role acts as the link between the region and the global customer sustainability marketing team and supports experience exchange within and beyond the global customer sustainability manager community.

What does the role involve?

Customer Sustainability

  • Participate in driving the development of our strategic approach to enable our customers’ business to be become more sustainable and develop global/regional/local product/service offerings.
  • Develop deep expertise in the topic of sustainability including best practices, terminology, regulations, trends, direction of key players in the construction industry across Asia and upskill Hilti management and sales force.
  • Communicate market trends and x-BU sustainability customer requirements to the global customer sustainability marketing team.
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to design, develop, and execute external marketing initiatives related to how Hilti solutions help customers work more sustainably.
  • Select and participate in key industry associations, boards, and/or trade shows.

Corporate Sustainability
  • Define and ensure implementation of regional sustainability targets and roadmap along the three sustainability pillars environment, people and society as part of our Lead 2030 strategy.
  • Support regional executive management team and country level General Managers to define local sustainability setup, targets and implementation.
  • Lead regional sustainability data collection and analysis and provide data to Corporate Sustainability and monitor country level and regional reporting regulations.
  • Ensure effective internal and external sustainability communication, act as sustainability employee engagement manager, and ensure continuous sustainability learning within the region.
Health, Safety and Environment
  • Be the regional lead to coordinate and guide the health and safety practices through collaboration with HQ, Hilti sales organizations and production plants (including, for example, safety practices in tool repair centers and ensure updated training and protective gears for our sales teams).
  • Encourage the regional organizations to maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near-misses through the use of Hilti’s accident reporting tools, and to follow-up with the relevant organizations for the thorough investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the promotion of a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental stewardship across the organization.

What you need is:

  • Degree or above in engineering, business, sustainability or related discipline.
  • Around 5 years of commercial experience and ideally related to sustainability.
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking mindset and understand the local rules and regulations in order to find solutions to implement global strategy.
  • Highly motivated with customer and with continuous improvement mentality in a fast-paced results-oriented environment.
  • Influencing ability, able to persuade with passion to drive sustainability agenda and develop compelling business case for making change and capable to interact with stakeholders at global, regional and country level.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about sustainability topics with strong project management and analytical skills and strategic mindset.
  • Aspire to develop a long-term career with the company and even with the flexibility to work in other locations.
