What's the role?
Hilti is investing massively into growing its software business and digitizing its customers’ processes. The Hilti IoT Cloud is a critical platform to enable key capabilities encompassing the collection, processing, and redirection of tool data to enable business use cases supporting our growth ambition. As a Software Engineer within the IoT Cloud team, your primary responsibility will involve the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud services that enables IoT capabilities for Hilti products. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business and various IT teams to seamlessly integrate and transform necessary data into the IoT Cloud platform, to be consumed by various applications.

What does the role involve?
In your role as Software Engineer, you will directly work with other developers, Product Owners, Scrum Master to evaluate and develop innovative solutions.
The purpose of the role is to design, develop, test, and operate a complex set of applications or platforms in the IoT Cloud area. The role involves the utilization of advanced tools and analytical methods for gathering facts to develop solution scenarios. The job holder needs to be able to execute quality codes, review codes and collaborate with other developers. What you need is:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree, or PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant education
- At least 3 years of experience as Software Engineer, in an enterprise context
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications and services
- Knowledge in cloud (AWS) microservices development, event driven architecture patterns, as well as Spring Boot
- Knowledge in IoT products and services and design principles is a plus
- Passionate about code quality, testing and security
- Courage to take calculated risks, to explore new solutions and promote innovation
- Proficient English written and verbal communication
