Manager, Material Management

What's the role?

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop a sales forecast guiding the Supply Chain for targeted sales and delivery performance. Oversee material flow within a specific Business Unit, optimizing stock and service levels. Plan and procure for business unit portfolios, ensuring product availability and managing inventory to meet working capital targets. Provide support to sales channels for delivering excellent customer service

What does the role involve?

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to create a sales forecast to steer the Supply Chain to achieve targeted sales and delivery performance.
  • Manage the flow of materials within Market Organization for a specific Business Unit ensuring that there is an optimization of stock and service level at all locations in line with company objectives.
  • Plan and purchase for business unit / trade basket portfolio(s)
  • Manage product availability to achieve corporate service levels.
  • Manage inventory levels to achieve working capital targets.
  • Support sales channels in providing world class customer service.

What you need is:

  • Master’s degree preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, MBA, or related fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (experience in material planning and inventory management preferred)
  • Proficient with ERP system including DRP/MRP, purchasing, inventory modules and SAP/APO
  • Attention to detail, strong data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills working in a fast-paced commercial environment involving multiple key stakeholders.
