HR Product Owner - Time and Absence Management Workday

What's the role?

As the Time and Absence Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and the development of our global Time and Absence solution. You will lead the time and absence stream groupwide and work closely with local entities to both understand both their business requirements and legal contexts, and support both the implementation and evolution of their time and absence solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and quality assurance, to ensure delivery/implementation as well as continuously improve how we manage time and absence.

What does the role involve?

In this role, you will be responsible for both shaping the strategic development of our group Time and Absence product, and in working closely with stakeholders to design, implement, and improve solutions. This role is both the leader and subject matter expert in Hilti for Time and Absence related topics around process, data, and system. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to define roadmaps, gathering and prioritizing requirements, and overseeing the development process, as well as managing implementation projects. This person will build networks and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive results. Constant optimization of the product to enhance both the process and configuration, as well as user experience, are a central part of this role. Effective communication, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of time and absence management processes are crucial to success in this role.

What you need is:

  • You deeply understand Workday and have a proven track record in leading the Time & Absence areas, including functionalities, configurations, and best practices.
  • As a product owner, you'll drive the strategic direction of the global Time and Absence solution and demonstrate the ability to bring together business requirements, legal requirements, workforce needs, and an international approach in delivering the solution.
  • You demonstrate effective communication skills, with experience collaborating with various stakeholders, including local entities and business leaders, HR teams, and technical experts, clearly articulating requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
  • You are proactive and well-structured, with excellent planning and organizational skills, and you grasp the complexities of time and absence management within a large and diverse company.
  • You have a process and project-oriented mindset, project management experience, and an analytical mindset to make better-informed decisions, optimize processes, and enhance UX.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English and can operate effectively globally with stakeholders in over 70 countries across all regions.
