What's the role?
We are looking for an experienced IT Software Engineer to join our Flexible Payment Methods team driving our mission to improve customer paying experience based on a scalable, secure, and compliant global payment platform for the Hilti Group.
In your role as IT Software Engineer, you will be closely collaborating with our IT Product Owner, IT Business Analyst and our IT Solution Architect, and you will develop solutions within our customer payments architecture based on SAP. Embedded in an experienced and supportive team you will implement these solutions leveraging your skills in ABAP coding with focus on SD and FI modules and the capabilities of latest SAP S/4HANA technology, in particular SAP ABAP in the SD module, as well as SAP Digital Payments and SAP Cloud for Customer Payments. Experience with integration with different payment service providers is an advantage. You will be working on continuously deliver new features of our global payment platform that enhance customer paying experience and create business value.

What does the role involve?
As an IT Software Engineer Flexible Payment Methods, you evaluate, translate, and implement the configuration and code for the rollouts and further development of the global customer payment platform across global markets. In the agile framework, you will be closely working together with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analysts and Solution Architect of the Flexible Payment Methods team. You also actively partner with other developers from the main interfaces for Flexible Payment methods, such as Hilti Online, payment service providers and local market organizations.
You will be part of the diverse Flexible Payment Methods Project team located in Buchs SG, Switzerland. You will be actively working with IT colleagues in other two strategic IT locations (Buchs – Switzerland and Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia) and with our business stakeholders around the world. What you need is:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant education
- At least 5 years of experience as ABAP developer with knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and FI/CO (Finance and Controlling) in SAP ERP 6.0 environment / S/4HANA including interfaces with external systems (e.g. EDI, Business to Government (e.g. SAP Document Compliance), tax reporting, Output Management System etc.), experience with SAP DP and CCP Add-ons is preferred
- Proven full stack experience of 5+ years in development across process areas in a SAP and/or cloud environment with waterfall & agile methodology
- Good understanding of architecture principles and design patterns
- Technical Know-How: SAP and Cloud technologies (e.g. ABAP, UI5, Java , Java script, Scala, HANA DB, Oracle DB, GIT, ORMS, HTML, Bamboo or Jenkins, non-relational databases)
