What's the role?

The role of Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership in the implementation and monitoring of defined production processes, manage quality, ensure reliable output, train and develop the team, and deliver sustained operational efficiency. This position will direct and oversee the manufacturing operations and manage the team members at one of four regional Value-Added Service Centers (VASC) that perform In-Region Customization.

What does the role involve?

Manage service center team and all operational activities to ensure reliable fulfillment of the service and performance objectives for the operation
Hire, train, coach, and develop the service center team member’s in their primary processes. This includes but is not limited to: Material Handling, Production Order Processing, End to End Manufacturing processes, Machine Operation, Maintenance, Shipping, and Receiving
Define and implement local operational goals to improve operations and ensure attainment of the service centers targets for productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction at that site
Drive performance by ensuring team is properly implementing and performing defined processes and completing key initiatives
Implement, audit, and oversee local performance standard regional quality processes to ensure consistent quality of raw materials and the goods produced in the service center
Coordinate with the region’s Process and Quality Engineer to continuously improve and standardize operating practices
Lead continuous improvement by integrating Lean and CIP processes into on-going management
Implement and manage safety and security for service center operations
Subject matter expert on manufacturing processes and systems
Develop and maintain constructive and supportive relationships across the organization to ensure timely response and support to all internal customers, external customers, and organization
Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, preferred
Minimum three (3) years’ production, logistics, or related operational work experience, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team-oriented workforce
A working understanding of Inventory Management, Production Operations, Quality, and Safety
Proven experience managing personnel and expenses to meet operational objectives
Ability to recommend, introduce, and/or implement new technologies to improve the efficiencies and economics of the pick/pack function
Strong multi-tasking skills while remaining detail-oriented and well-organized
Ability to perform data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Suite (heavy emphasis on Excel)
Comfortable working with strict deadlines
Basic understanding of SAP or comparable ERP system

Working Conditions:
Workshop operating conditions
Occasional domestic travel may be required

Adverse Work Conditions:
Workshop environment subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles
Operate large equipment and machinery (i.e. forklifts, saws, production machines)

Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
Stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive reaching, bending, and climbing.

Safety Equipment Required:
Must observe and abide by all safety regulations as required by Hilti and Occupational Health and Safety Standards (OSHA)
Must wear steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and other safety equipment, as required, when working in the facility and/or operating machinery
