Vehicle Fleet Manager
What's the role?
The role of Vehicle Fleet Specialist, manages the operation of the company car fleet by working closely with
internal and external partners. This position manages the entire vehicle life cycle and records of all vehicle
registration, maintenance, operation, and expenses; providing operational excellence in processes, and input
into the strategic direction of the vehicle fleet strategy for Hilti North America (HNA).

What does the role involve?
Execute new vehicle order requirements and vehicle disposal requirements
Manage entire vehicle fleet life cycle from model selection, order placement, up-fitting, driver
assignment, delivery, maintenance, fuel consumption and reporting, used vehicle sales, etc.
Review and update vehicle management policies; streamlines processes providing quality and timely
support to driver
Create documentation and provide support related to the evolving vehicle management procedures
Manage the vehicle management vendor to ensure high standard services are provided: vehicle lease/replacement, vehicle maintenance, accidents management & repair, reporting and efficiency management, and billing & payment
Manage reporting on quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis, as needed
Liaise with auto repair vendors; ensure all vehicles are in good working condition
Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal stakeholders; ensuring requirements are understood, addressed, and that communication channels are clear and effective
Develop, implement, and maintain key services such as supplier delivery of fuel, maintenance, orders, branding, registrations, insurance, tolls, auctions, special projects, fleet performance monitoring, value analysis, continuous improvement, compliance and demand management
Resolve escalated issues arising from operations; coordinate with other departments, as needed
Identifies trends/issues - able to troubleshoot solutions and modify the framework to accommodate
Ensure drivers follow fleet safety policy by facilitating communication to appropriate departments on
driver violation records
Lead or assist in department projects, as assigned

What you need is:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business-related field, preferred
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in vehicle fleet related field, preferred
- Desire and ability to learn new business skills, strongly preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and activities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, required
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Skilled with MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of the Hilti organization and culture, preferred
- Experience in providing presentations, updates to C-Suite executives, strongly preferred
- Proactive, motivated, collaborative team member as well as independent minded individual
Normal office conditions
Up 10% (domestic/international/both) travel, required
Flexibility to work on some Holidays, required
