What's the role?

This project manager role is responsible for leading MO-specific market reach projects for Market Organization Energy & Industry. This person identifies opportunities for further improvement based on market analysis and then works with the Division Managers to execute projects in order to capitalize on these opportunities.

What does the role involve?

Project owner responsible for the creation, standardization, and rollout of specific MO training and processes
Convey project goals and objectives clearly and in a compelling manner: listen effectively and clarify information as needed; produce clear status reports; communicate tactfully and candidly
Ensure that project status, issues, and successes are documented and communicated to stakeholders and management; ensure open communication with the project team members; address delicate situations and manage conflict in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk
Manage robust information pool for General Manager and MO Director of Marketing regarding competitive landscape, market trends, and Hilti fact base
Recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent; evaluate alternatives and find solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach; develop improvements and innovations to enhance performance
Pro-actively engage present stakeholders in design, priority setting, and implementation; build coalition among various stakeholders; negotiate authority to move the project forward; consult and provide advice, facilitate discussion and resolve conflict; establish trust; build and use cross-functional relationships to accomplish work objectives
Exert strong influencing skills to impact choices on immediate and long-term directions; understand and use established policies and procedures; undertake continual adjustments with stakeholders in a persuasive manner, to keep the project on course; recognize the impact of corporate culture on the success of the projects
Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure business process continuity and consistency
Coordinate alignment meetings with the principal stakeholders to maintain visibility throughout the MO and the organization
Responsible for the execution of Executive Management Team Meetings from planning and agenda stages to full performance
Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Project management skillsMinimum of 4 years of applicable experience in a construction or engineering environmentPrevious sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, working under stringent deadline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
