Production Controller - Visalia, CA
What's the role?
The Production Controller is responsible for the administration and inspection of work in the VASC operation as well as support through production activities. This role is accountable for creating and maintaining a closed loop communication back to central planning by communicating and receiving information from the central planner, working with the Supervisor and Lead to translate the information into the production plan, performing quality checks, and closing the order in planning tools. It is a key function in the production environment that ensures the operation is effective in both planning and quality management.

What does the role involve?
Coordinate project work with required timing in the VASC Planning Tool and Calendar and update frequently as needed
Support VASC machinists and handlers in executing pre‐fabrication, assembly, and production activities
Perform general warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and order processing
Track key quality metrics and implement improvement processes
Maintain inspection plans as required and based on defined procedures for projects involving cutting, kitting, and preassembly and ensure execution by the VASC
Responsible to approve projects for shipment and document based on defined procedures
Maintain project documentation for immediate access by team members throughout quality process
Support cutting, kitting, and assembly procedures by supporting sustainable process implementation
Assist VASC Team with gage calibration, scheduling, saw maintenance, and other daily tasks
Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:
High School or GED equivalent, required
Two (2) to three (3) years experience in Warehouse, Manufacturing, or Production environment or equivalent, required
Proven project management skills with good technical understanding required
Experience in manufacturing, warehouse management, transportation or distribution strongly preferred
Demonstrated organizational skills; ability to organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and track shipment successes or failures and bring this knowledge to future projects
Excellent communication skills both oral and written required; ability to communicate effectively to shop floor team members and warehouse management
Ability to use Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel
Must be able to lift up to 75 Lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate a variable climate, prolonged standing, repetitive bending, reaching and climbing up and down ladders. No travel expectations for performing in role, potential travel requirement/opportunity for trainings or experience exchange.
Adverse Working Conditions:
Occasionally loud work environment with production equipment in use.
Depending on geography employees may be exposed to adverse heat or cold
Safety Equipment Required:
Safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working with production equipment; must observe and abide by any and all safety regulations as required by Hilti and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, repetitive bending, sitting for extended periods
