What's the role?

The Product Owner II contributes broad experience and a high level of expertise in requirement gathering and solution design. This role leads and directs activities on project assignments such as requirement definition, requirements analysis, solution design, testing, training, validation and documentation, as well as provide technical expertise and team leadership on major, complex initiatives.

What does the role involve?

Act as the customer / IT liaison during analysis (AGILE Product Owner role), requirements definition, and design activities; maintaining an understanding of a broad range of business processes and related systems
Provide strategic; collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document business requirements, and with technical staff to develop solution alternatives
Write technical requirements; gather and review existing technical documentation, transform technical documentation into a standardized format, and load and maintain a single repository/tool; work with architect to identify services that can be consolidated, reused, or improved to meet future demand
Participate in the Project Management process; understand and apply the system development methodology;
Contribute to project deliverables including vision documents, status reports, project, risk, resource, and financial plans
Communicate status, business impacts, and system changes to team members, business partners, sponsors, management and other interested parties
Coordinate issues, tracking, and resolution on high-level, complex projects
Manage user acceptance testing activities for maintenance and project assignments; provide guidance for testing strategies, scope, and scenarios
Review and provide advice for testing-related estimates of effort, duration, and resource utilization; prepare and review test plans, identifies testing risks, and contributes to the overall management of project and risk plans
Coordinate, manage and participate in complex testing efforts; write and execute manual test cases as required
Perform production validations to verify code deployments, server patching and disaster recovery efforts
Provide general customer support for assigned products; deal with the most complex system problem logs
Work with product manager, other SME’s and technical staff to perform effective root-cause analysis and resolution

What you need is:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the agile software methodology and construction industry
  • Advanced understanding of object oriented software development
  • Proficiency in the following technical applications: JIRA, MS Team Foundation Server
  • Experience with Electronic Data Interchange configurations, document automation, e-market places, required
  • Demonstrated experience working with google analytics and data engineering for KPI management
  • Demonstrated analytical capability; able to switch effortlessly between business and technical terminology, self-motivated, able to learn quickly, able to multi task, able to meet deadlines, and has strong work ethic
  • Normal office conditions.
  • Up to 10% domestic travel, required.
