What's the role?

The role of Product Owner, contributes broad experience and high level of expertise in requirement gathering and solution design. On project assignments, the position leads and directs activities such as, requirement definition, requirements analysis, solution design, testing, training, validation, and documentation. This position provides technical expertise on Enterprise Data Projects.

What does the role involve?

Act as the customer / IT liaison during analysis (AGILE Product Owner role), requirements definition and design activities
Maintain understanding of a broad range of business processes and related systems; provides strategic advice for business processes and solutions
Collaborate with product manager and business stakeholders to define and document business requirements; partner with technical staff to develop solution alternatives
Write technical requirements, gather and review existing technical documentation, and transform technical documentation into a standardized format; load and maintain a single repository/tool
Collaborate with architect to identify services to be consolidated, reused, or improved to meet future demand
Participate in the Project Management process; understand and apply the system development methodology
Contribute to project deliverable including: vision documents and status reports; project, risk, resource and financial plans
Relay status, business impacts, and system changes to team members, business partners, sponsors, management, and other interested parties
Coordinate issues, tracking, and resolution on high level, complex projects
Manage user acceptance testing activities for maintenance and project assignments; provide guidance for testing strategies, scope, and scenarios
Review and provide advice for testing-related estimates of effort, duration, and resource utilization
Prepare and review test plans; identify testing risks and contribute to the overall management of project and risk plans
Coordinate, manage, and participate in complex testing efforts; write and execute manual test cases as required
Provide general customer support for assigned products; maintain the most complex system problem logs
Perform production validations to verify code deployments, server patching, and disaster recovery efforts
Work with product manager, other SME’s, and technical staff to perform effective root-cause analysis and resolution

What you need is:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, required
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience, required
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction industry with a focus on structural engineering and BIM software products.
  • Advanced Knowledge of object oriented software development, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, SOA principles, web-services, UML, XML, and SQL
  • Proficiency with JIRA, MS Team Foundation Server, SoapUI applications
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability; self-motivated, quick learning agility, and ability to meet deadlines and switch effortlessly between business and technical terminology
  • Normal office conditions.
  • Up to 30% international and domestic travel, required.
