What's the role?

The role of Logistics Network Optimization is responsible to define and own the processes that drive network efficiency via operational and strategic supply chain initiatives. The goal is to optimize replenishment costs, inventory levels and lead time to customer. Each of the processes are formed with intensive collaboration with Materials Management, Transportation, Distribution and Marketing as needed.

What does the role involve?

Create, maintain and own processes to drive efficiency via operational and strategic supply chain initiatives
Ensure the processes optimize replenishment costs, inventory levels and lead time to customer
Implement and document updates to inventory strategy and replenishment network
Utilize simulation modeling to visualize, analyze, and improve Hilti North America Network
Develop, formalize and distribute new communication process within Hilti North American supply chain including inbound and outbound planning, transportation movement forecasting and resulting inventory impact -Sales and Operations Planning
Provide ahoc and standard reports for senior management
Responsible for any Supply Chain Network related questions, issues, concerns or recommendations
Schedule and conduct review meetings with Logistics Management and Network Optimization steering board
Collaborate with Materials Management and Logistics Management to ensure teams are properly trained
Keep all associated process and training documents up to date with any revisions and/or changes
Responsible for proposing corrective action(s) to resolve issues in a timely manner
May have direct reports to lead, develop through the Hilti talent review process, and manage the Performance Management Process (PMP)

What you need is:

MBA/Master’s Degree and/or professional logistics certification required
Minimum seven (7) years’ Materials Management or Logistics experience, required
Demonstrated project management experience
Previous experience in Supply Chain network optimization, preferred
Proven ability to analyze data and make recommendations
Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions
High customer focus with a demonstrated willingness to take extra steps to satisfy internal and external customer requirements
Proven ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence business decisions
Ability to work with ERP systems including SAP
Working knowledge of Distribution Requirements Planning/Materials Requirements
Planning and Inventory modules, preferred
Possess strong knowledge of PC and software applications, including MS Office
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Comfortable working with strict deadlines, required
Must be detail oriented; follow up and organizational skills, preferred
Working Conditions:
Normal Office conditions
Limited travel, required
