What's the role?

The role of Learning Business Partner (LBP) is responsible for maintaining and developing solutions for performance related issues. The LBP advocates for the development of Hilti employees and maintains an effective level of business literacy about the Hilti Group’s financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition in order to provide relevant conversations and solutions to performance-related gaps.

What does the role involve?

Analyse business to identify key stakeholder commitment, define critical business problems, and identify core processes
Communicate needs proactively within the team and seek to develop integrated solutions to known problems
Evaluate target group by conducting performance analysis on current and desired performance to identify the gap and to provide solutions
Define design criteria by conducting root cause analysis to determine environmental barriers, produce an overview of critical tasks, and prioritize root causes
Create the business case to enable prioritization of the projects where needed
Work with development team; build a 70:20:10 approach to learning
Design and develop performance support and learning path as needed or experiences
Validate approach with key stakeholders and launch the solution; iterate based on impact achieved
Research emerging industry trends, new technologies, concepts, and techniques; provide suggestions and solutions based on analysis
Develop mutually reinforcing solutions that build on each other over time
Adapt and work with what exists when needed
Create relationships and form partnerships across Hilti to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives and culture of the organization
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Assess and anticipate learning related needs based on conversations or observations where performance gaps are seen; uses a global approach when improving the performance of team members of the organization

What you need is:

  • Doctorate Degree preferred
  • Master degree required
  • Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in Learning and Development, required
  • 8-10 years of L&D experience preferred
  • Proficient with office applications (MS office, MS Word, etc.) required
  • English required, bilingual preferred
  • Demonstrated ability of active listening, while maintaining an objective perspective on performance related issues
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
  • Must be a team player and be comfortable working in a global environment
  • Demonstrated ability of problem solving
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project, Articulate authoring tools, and video editing tools
