What's the role?

The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing innovative workplace collaboration solutions such as Yammer, Sharepoint, and Lync/Skype for Business. This role participates in and
manages global project rollouts in line with corporate workplace strategy and proper change management.

What does the role involve?

Design, implement, and troubleshoot Hilti’s global workplace collaboration solutions and services, e.g. Microsoft O365 Lync/Skype for Business
Support the Hilti user community and manage vendor relationships
Ensure uptime of all workplace collaboration services
Manage workplace collaboration projects (team, timeline, and budget), which consist of numerous Hilti employees and outside vendors
Explore the latest communication and collaboration trends and translate them into business value
Engage in incident management processes to ensure operational excellence
Work in a global team in close cooperation with stakeholders in IT and throughout the business
Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Solid IT infrastructure knowledge and strong IT affinity
  • High interest and first professional experience in the area of IT workplace technology, e.g. Microsoft Office 365
  • Proficiency in IT project management, solution management, and vendor management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Creative, innovative, and open-minded
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
