What's the role?

The IBD (International Business Development) is a technical and leadership role part of the global Hilti IBD community. The IBD will focus on a portfolio of Top Global Accounts investing heavily in Data Centers worldwide. This role is responsible for developing sales, driving specifications, and developing long term relationships with local and international assigned key accounts and projects.

What does the role involve?

The IBD creates a strategy and leads its execution to increase sales from the accounts based on commercial relationships and technical specifications. Coordinates a global team associated with these account(s) making sure local teams follow the projects and the specifications converting them into sales.

Secondly, the IBD contributes to and is accountable for global specification and sales development (direct or indirect), long term relationship build-up, and execution of account strategy by working on tailored-commercial and technical solutions. The IBD is also in charge ofdeveloping senior relationship contacts within the customer’s organization to drive the implementation of the account’s strategy. (department heads, corporateheadquarters).

Lastly, the IBD will drive specifications by supporting the HILTI technical teams working with the assigned accounts including designers, engineers, project team members, purchase departments, lead engineers, discipline managers, and turnaround teams across multiple disciplines(civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, piping & procurement). The focus should also include customer project outside of the hosting country ensuring the business development across the relevant geographies.

Last year alone, we introduced 40 new products, services and software solutions to the global construction market.

What you need is:

Bachelor’s degree required. Business, Marketing, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field desired 2-3 years business development experience
Experience in Data Center industry desirable
Proven success with selling value added and solutions to owners
Familiarity with project plans, specifications, and commercial terms

Vehicle/ Driver’s License Requirements

A company vehicle is provided for carrying tools/fasteners for product demonstration purposes. Employee must have valid US driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with HNA Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
