What's the role?
The head of production is responsible to provide the requested demand of products in the right time according to the required quality and costs. The planning of the resources and the capacity in alignment with the plant strategy is his duty as well as driving projects to reduce net costs and COGS and the implementation of lean principles to reduce through put time and WIP. He is persistent in getting things done and working with others and leads by results. He leads the production team functional and disciplinary and is responsible
to develop the team members according to the business need and the individual strength and weaknesses. He creates an atmosphere that fosters team work, collaboration and willingness for optimization.

What does the role involve?
Monitor the output of the production unit regarding costs, delivery time, and quality
Define actions for corrections to production issues and implement measures for corrections to production issues
Analyze actual production processes to determine opportunities for cost savings
Build up strategy to gain productivity in production and to reduce production costs continuously
Plan capacity vs demand; implement actions to react flexibly and agile on volatile demand requests
Roll out LEAN philosophy in production; implement actions to reduce through put time and non-value adding process steps
Support production team
Serve as functional expert to the production team
Train team on processes and technologies
Provide planning for the production process including qualitative and quantitative planning
Supervise the production team members
Provide training and disciplinary actions to team members
Introduce new team members to the plant
Additional duties, as assigned

What you need is:
High School Diploma/GED, required
Minimum one (1) to three (3) years’ experience, required
Experience in production, required
Supervision experience, required
Ability to manage and resolve conflict
Ability to effectively communicate and manage others
Ability to train others
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong Teamwork skills
Normal office conditions with occasional plant conditions, required
Up to 5% domestic and international travel, required
Adverse Working Conditions:
Ability to effectively work in a production environment
Exposure to heavy machinery on occasion
Safety Equipment Required:
Must observe and abide by all safety regulations as required by Hilti and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
Must wear steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and other safety equipment, as required, when working in the facility and/or operating machinery
