What's the role?

The Value Added Service Center (VASC) Controller is responsible for the design, implementation, tracking, reporting, and communication of the costing, budgeting and steering of the VASC organization for Hilti North America (HNA); providing overall finance and analytical support to the business function ensuring the best possible financial information for business decisions to support sustainable, profitable growth. The controller will also support and provide leadership in measuring and allocating production and overhead costs. This role requires deep dive analysis into topics of strategic importance with the objective of operationalizing the findings.

What does the role involve?

•Develop and consolidate business plans (short and mid-term) to orchestrate the steering of HNA’s Value Added Service Center business operations
•Conducts various activities related to product and service costing, manufacturing analysis, and inventory management
•Create and implement relevant measurements and key metrics for business results and processes (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs))
•Perform month end close activities related to the VASC, and track, analyze, and interpret results
•Explore deviations to the forecast by creating transparency on cause and effect and make recommendations on corrective actions, maintaining the respective tracking
•Supports investment decision making process through business case development and measurement
•Effectively communicate among the functional departments, Business Units (BU's) and Finance/ Accounting; gain the trust of the units as a competent business partner
•Partner with global peers to lead and/or support the sharing of best practices
•Accountable for effectively defining, planning, and implementing projects that achieve business objectives, productivity standards, and cost controls.
•Train business managers on financial topics in formal and informal settings
•Additional duties, as assigned

What you need is:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, required (Masters Preferred)
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in costing and/or financial analyses and modeling in a manufacturing environment, required
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, required
•Excellence interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, required
• Advanced level knowledge in SAP or equivalent, preferred
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, required
• Demonstrated leadership in defining cross functional requirements and leading projects
• Demonstrated coaching/training and change management skills
• Lean/ Six Sigma experience highly preferred
• International professional experience preferred
• International mobility preferred

Working Conditions:
Normal office conditions
Up to 25% domestic travel, required
