This position provides technical support and drives the sales of specified products to salesforce and customers (buying and non-buying) consistent with Hilti’s strategy.

What does the role involve?

This position educates design communities concerning the proper use and advantages of Hilti products. This position capitalizes on Hilti competencies to secure commitments for specification or approval of Hilti Products while adding value by assisting design community and influencers in solving design problems using Hilti Products.

As a Field Engineer Generalist, you will visit job sites and company offices to assess application problems, opportunities, and provide technical education and solutions. You will also communicate application specifications with design communities to sales team utilizing CRM system, assigning tasks and action items to applicable account managers (AM) for conversion of a specification to a sale and maintain and update regional fact-based and contacts of designers, influencers, and code officials.
They will also investigate business opportunities in the field by participating in Customer Surveys as needed for product and market development along with participation in local sales strategy development and at sales management review and improve (R&I) sessions.

What you need is:

Bachelor’s degree required. Construction or Business related field preferred
Two years minimum experience in Technical Sales, Sales or Business Development role
An agile approach to solving problems
Strong communication skills
Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed
*Preferably, internal candidates will have been in current role for at least 18-24 months

Vehicle/ Driver’s License Requirements:
A company vehicle is provided for carrying tools/fasteners for product demonstration purposes. The employee must have valid US driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle and comply with HNA Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
