What's the role?

The Direct Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, enhancement, and implementation of direct marketing projects and programs. This role interfaces with product and trade management as well as channel managers, directors, and/or outside contacts in support of the development of new programs or enhancement of current programs. This position provides support and recommendations in the development of innovative concepts.

The Direct Marketing Specialist coordinates with business units, product managers, and trade managers regarding the promotion and execution of new programs and in the training and required follow-up efforts. This role tracks and measures direct mail and email programs and is responsible for establishing appropriate prioritization and deadlines within the assigned projects.

What does the role involve?

Manage the development of direct marketing proposals, plans, and project concepts
Manage communications campaigns (direct mail, email, collateral, etc.) from creative brief to final execution
Manage the creative asset production with Hilti’s internal Marketing Communications department including scheduling, production, and implementation
Work with both internal resources and external contacts
Ensure compliance with Brand, Legal, and Regulatory guidelines through Hilti’s approval process
Interpret results, evaluate and optimize effectiveness of marketing campaign; provide and implement recommendations
Execute program production schedules, including targeted account lists, data segmentation, incentives, and results review
Generate backend offer reporting utilizing standard reports and statistical analysis to evaluate campaigns
Other duties as assigned

What you need is:

Bachelor’s Degree required (Business Management, Marketing, or related field); MBA preferred
Minimum 2 years of direct marketing experience required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Management required
Technical skills in planning and marketing, business and market development, and CRM/data management
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization
Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects
Excellent time management skills and accustomed to working with deadlines
*Preferably, internal candidates will have been in current role for at least 18-24 months
