What does the role involve?

As a CAD Operator, you are providing support to field personnel via development of CAD drawings as directed by the Fire Protection Engineer (FPE).

This includes creating original designs, converting competitive designs & specifications and
providing technical answers to questions related to the Fire Protection (FP) portfolio.

As a Hilti CAD Operator, you are creating 2D/3D Models to yield clear, complete and accurate working documents/CAD drawings, checking the dimensions and the relationship of components. You will also maintain the Fire Protection drawing database and standards for accuracy and completeness according to Hilti International guidelines.

What you need is:

Associate degree in Design Drafting Technology or equivalent required
18 months of industry experience preferred

Proficient in AutoCAD 2010 or higher with thorough understanding of multi view orthographic projections

Aptitude to read and understand blueprints, construction specifications, and documents required

Ability to function effectively on teams required

Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred

*Preferably, internal candidates will have been in current role for at least 18-24 months
