What major projects did you work on during your internship?
As an intern in the Human Resources department, I worked closely with the University Relations Manager. I worked on multiple projects which included researching sales schools and career events, researching career fair giveaways, creating content for Hilti’s first University webpage, and creating presentations for on-campus events. I really enjoyed the opportunity to work on real world projects that would support the University Relations program.

Why did you decide to take the full-time position at Hilti after your internship?
I decided to take a full-time position with Hilti because of my ten-week internship. I learned so much during the 10 weeks and enjoyed the projects I worked on. The team environment and support from my managers was more than I could have asked for in an internship.

How have you developed your career so far at Hilti?
I started full-time with Hilti as an Onboarding Specialist. The Onboarding team was new to Hilti so I had the opportunity to come in and really help shape what the position looked like. I worked with new Account Managers, Field Engineers, and Hilti Store Representatives for both the West and Civil, Energy, and Industry Market Organizations at Hilti. After about a year in the role, I transitioned to the Talent Acquisition team as a Recruiting Specialist. I now recruit for all of the Inside Sales, Finance, and Marketing teams that sit in both the Plano and Tulsa office.

What advice would you give to future interns?
The advice I would give to new interns would be to work hard, ask questions, learn about as many different departments within Hilti as possible, and most importantly, have fun! The internship is a great 10-week experience to learn about the company and make sure it is a good fit for the future.
